Hey y'all. It's been a little while since I have had music to talk about, promote, etc. Since I released my first album, I have taken some time to promote it and to focus on live performances. That's a whole other thing in itself.
I took time to choose an album's worth of songs. I have written a ton of songs, and they are all sitting pretty, waiting for an album that fits their theme. Once I chose the songs, I sat and polished each one of them, making sure the verses, choruses and bridge was ready.
Then I chose the instrumentation and tone. That was hard! I had a lot of choices to make. So many good versions of each song were generated, and I had to choose which one fit the best.
After that, it was off to the studio for the band to record their part. When the finalized versions came back, I sat and listened to each one to make sure my vision of the song came through.
I decided the order of songs to release and then got to work recording my vocals. Since I have a limited amount of time in the studio, each song ends up taking weeks before its ready to master.
Now it's finally time- my new song called Country Boy Dream Come True, comes out on September 18th. I can't wait to share it with you.
